黄色から緑そして茶色へ。
蓮の花の中心にある かたく 。
同じ音ですが、開花時と結実時とで字が異なります。
数千年も生き長られる 実 で有名な蓮。
縄文時代に土中にあった実が発掘され発芽した 古代蓮 で有名ですね。
それを守る様に聳え立つのが、花托（果托）です。
お釈迦様がお座りになるのも それを模したもの。
あの花弁に囲まれ守られる様に、鎮座します。
そして、役目を終えた果托は、造形物の様な姿を留め、
その後に伸びた葉に隠れながらも、
固く固くなって、沼の中に佇むのです。

削除仰る通り、寺院と繋がりが深い 蓮の花 です。
極楽は蓮の花が咲き乱れるとも説かれます。
一蓮托生もその辺りから派生した言葉です。 （蓮から生まれ変わる）
蓮沼や蓮鉢が無く共、必ず、蓮を模した仏具が寺院には在りますし。

削除Although lotus is native to India, it is a familiar plant in Japan due to the influence of Buddhism.
For us the Japanese, Banksia is so exotic plant!
In many cases we know that as a dried flower.
There are many different plants in the world, but we only know some of them.
However, looking at the blogs is interesting because of various discoveries. ;)
